Caitlyn Yang

Caitlyn Yang is an innovative teen entrepreneur based in Los Angeles, California. She is passionate about minority youth advocacy, environmental awareness, and community involvement. As an intern at the Monterey Park City Engineering Department for over three years and the appointed Honorary Mayor for a day, she has worked closely with engineers and consultants to receive grants and pursue the installment of bike lanes and a bus tracking system through Esri ArcGIS, a geographic information system, in the city. She serves as the President of the California Scholarship Federation and Vice President of National Honors Society at her school and acts as student chair and panelist in events for students to learn about internships, summer programs, and universities. Caitlyn is the co-founder of WeConnex, a company incubated at the University of Pennsylvania working to cultivate conversation and facilitate the digital exchange of professional contact information.
