Stacy Carter

Stacy Carter is the General Counsel of Techstars, and serves on Techstars Executive Leadership Team. Carter provides leadership for the company's global legal and regulatory affairs, risk and compliance programs, and corporate governance activities. At Techstars, she oversees a team of attorneys that are responsible for Techstars activities around the globe, including completing hundreds of financings annually into Techstars portfolio companies. Prior to joining Techstars, Carter was General Counsel and Head of People at Sphero, a robotic toy and educational company. She also held legal roles at Rally Software, during its IPO and sale to CA Technologies, and Cooley LLP, in its emerging companies and M&A departments. Carter graduated Order of the Coif from the University of Colorado Law School, and holds a Masters Degree in Accounting (Tax) from the University of Virginia.
