Gregory Scott Brown, M.D., is a doctor, writer, yogi, and wellness advocate. He is the founder and director of the Center for Green Psychiatry, an new Austin-based wellness advocacy platform that will soon house his outpatient clinics beginning in July 2019. He is currently a general psychiatry resident at the Dell Medical School and a fellow in integrative medicine with the Academy of Integrative Health and Medicine. He is author of Psychology Today's Green Psychiatry blog and has also contributed online for Austin Fit Magazine. He hosts the podcast "This is Mental Health," which has featured guests from the world of music, food, photography, and college and professional athletics.

Green Psychiatry is a patient-centered model that integrates conventional pharmaceutical treatments with exercise and nutrition, mind-body medicine, social spiritual or religious support systems, and judicious use of evidence-based natural products. Green Psychiatry recognizes the benefit of acupuncture, massage, yoga, and meditation in a broad range of mental health concerns and focuses not only on the eradication of illness, but the promotion of long-term and sustainable wellness.
