Desiree Walker
Desirée was first diagnosed with breast cancer at age 38. Desirée advocates for patients by openly speaking about her diagnosis to national audiences. She encourages patients to feel empowered in self, mind, body and soul. She volunteers with SHARE, Young Survival Coalition, and National Coalition for Cancer Survivorship. Desirée inspires others through media channels like The Breakfast Club and her StoryCorps, which will be featured in the Library of Congress and National African American Museum.
