Shelby Comstock Britten
Shelby Comstock Britten is a cofounder and the creative director of Rainhouse Music & Sound Design. She partners with her husband, composer Alex Britten (LEGO Ninjago, VICE). Rainhouse makes music for film, TV, and ads and works with emerging artists releasing curated singles and EPs. Rainhouse is the editor and mixer of Season 2 of Spotify’s ‘Under Cover’ podcast, which received press from Rolling Stone each episode of the season.
Shelby is responsible for creative direction of all Rainhouse original content, produces the release of original songs via Rainhouse Records, and liaises with clients on all projects which include global brands like Facebook, Nike, and Nespresso. Before launching Rainhouse, Shelby worked with music houses to develop TV and ad business, licensing hundreds of songs and managed a collective of composers, artists and audio engineers. She has worked on shows such as Ink Master, VOGUE: 73 Questions, and assisted in music supervision for brands like Angry Orchard, Sam Adams.
