Nicholas White
I am a 6th-generation journalist and the CEO and editor in chief of The Daily Dot, which I cofounded in 2011. The Daily Dot reaches 10 million people each month and has received a wide variety of awards for its site, reporting, and creative campaigns from the Webbies, Digiday, and others. I founded my first company was 20 and I have written for a variety of publications, from PBS MediaShift to Wired, appeared on radio and television including the BBC and PBS, and I speak internationally on the Internet, journalism, and media. In my spare time, I learn stuff. I have degrees in English & creative writing, philosophy, American studies, psychology, management, and film. I was born in California and currently reside with my wife, the romance novelist Louisa Edwards (she also writes under Lily Everett), and our dog, Hunter S. Thompson in Austin. Most importantly, I coined the word "karaover."
