Lindsay Cornell is a brand development and communications specialist. In 2018, she was recognized by Vogue as ‘A Global Trailblazer’ for her contribution to her industry. Since 2012, she has been Global Brand Director for entertainer and entrepreneur, will.i.am. Lindsay created his eyewear line, ill.i Optics, which is now stocked in 40 countries worldwide. Prior focusing solely on the development of ill.i Optics and will.i.am for Specsavers, her role required her to lead marketing and partnership efforts for his technology start-up, i.am+, as Director of Communications. In 2016, Lindsay launched and managed a runway collaboration with Alessandro Michele at Gucci, where a Gucci version of i.am+’s wearable device was worn on the runway in 2017. Her initial position with will.i.am was in the philanthropy space. In 2013, Lindsay was appointed to single handedly manage his TRANS4M conferences to raise money for STEM education (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math). Key speakers included President Bill Clinton, NASA astronaut Leland Melvin and inventor, Dean Kamen. In addition to working alongside will.i.am, Lindsay has cut her teeth internationally with some of the most renowned brand names in the world. Over the last 10 years, she has worked on projects for and with the likes of Tom Ford, Rick Owens and Harrods, to AT&T, The Coca-Cola Company and famed architect, Zaha Hadid. Lindsay graduated from The University of Technology in Sydney with a Bachelor of Arts (Communication) in 2009.
