Laurel Blatchford is a recognized national leader on the most pressing issues facing America’s communities today, including housing insecurity and affordability, income inequality and lack of opportunity, community and economic development, and climate change. As president of Enterprise Community Partners, Inc., one of the nation’s leading social enterprises, Laurel leads the organization’s national programmatic and policy work, including the teams working in Enterprise’s local markets across the United States, and Enterprise’s groundbreaking initiatives focused on connecting people and communities to opportunity. Prior to joining Enterprise in 2014, Laurel held a number of senior positions in government and the private sector, including leadership roles at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and in the administration of New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg. She currently serves on the board of the National Housing Trust and the National Housing Conference.
