Marla Westervelt

Marla serves as a Senior Manager of Urban Partnership Solutions at Bird. In this capacity, she works with the product team to ensure that the products that Bird is developing are design to meet the specific needs of governments across the world. Prior to joining Bird, Marla worked in LA Metro’s Office of Extraordinary Innovation (OEI), where she served as the Head of Research and a New Mobility Project Manager. One of Marla’s key accomplishments at Metro was securing a Mobility on Demand grant from the Federal Transit Administration, which enabled her to create a pilot project whose aim is to test utilizing a transportation network company for true service delivery integrated into the mass transit network. Marla has also worked at the Eno Center for Transportation, the nation’s leading transportation policy think tank. At Eno, Marla led a variety of research efforts from aviation to surface transportation. Marla studied at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, receiving her BA in English and her MA in Political Science.
