Jose Humberto

Jose Humberto is a top innovator involved in applied research to environmental protection, his work has been recognized by the President of Mexico and the Princess of Sweden.

Convinced that next sustainable revolution will come from startups, he has developed innovation projects, obtaining remarkable achievements in reputable evets including Mostratec and MOCINN (both in Brazil), Stockholm Junior Water Prize (Sweden), Mitacs Research Award (Canada), ESI AMLAT (Paraguay), EJI (Spain) and others. As an engineer, Jose has been involved in the development of functional magnetic nanoparticles for environmental applications, working in collaboration with the University of Calgary (Canada), MIT and Harvard. As a technology entrepreneur, Jose combines his experience from industry and Nanotech research to bringing sustainable solutions for water-based issues. Jose Humberto founded ETAC in 2018, to provide solutions for the energy and environmental sectors by the integration of nanotech and IoT, as part of the Silicon Valley-based Ocean Solutions Accelerator. ETAC has now been featured in Forbes, Sustainable brands, TechCrunch and the San Francisco Chronicle.
