Andrea Perry

The common thread holding Andrea Perry's eclectic background of performing arts management, museum education, and survivor advocacy together is her fascination with complex subject matter that lies at the edge of our ability to say what we mean. She holds a BA in Philosophy and History of Science from the prestigious Great Books program at St. John's College, where representations of the sacred in Bach's oratorios and knowledge claims of Enlightenment science were points of emphasis. By day, she makes her work the preservation and interpretation of the only publicly accessible structures in Austin built before the Civil War; by night, she has the life-changing privilege of working alongside the diverse group of people we call survivors of sexual assault.
