Cindy Payne

Cindy Payne serves as AVP, IT Application Services leading Nationwide’s internal Technical Consulting team. In this role, she leads capability and uplift across 50+ technologies used by 200+ internal development teams. She is a change agent within Nationwide focused on enabling business outcomes through technology by accelerating both the pace of change and the speed of delivering high quality, differentiating software. Cindy has held numerous positions in her 26-year career at Nationwide. She started her career serving our advisors and members in Nationwide Financial and moved to IT as a second career in 1997. She enjoyed a long stretch developing and architecting digital solutions until 2016 when she moved to her current role. Cindy has presented at the DevOps Enterprise Summit in 2016 and 2017 and GitHub Universe 2017. She enjoys connecting and learning from others focused on enabling developers to deliver outstanding solutions.
