Anastasia Victor is an artist / designer, based in San Francisco, who explores how immersive art can be used to promote public discourse around the social impacts of emerging technologies. She is currently a resident at the Gray Area Foundation & Mozilla XR Studio, where she is using AR to expose the ethical issues with commercial facial recognition, by allowing users to experience these technologies in real-time through highly interactive AR interfaces. She is also the co-founder of PLACE, a cross-disciplinary research non-profit that explores the socio-spatial implications of XR through art, design and education.
