David McKinnie

David leads the Office of Ocean Exploration and Research (OER) engagement team and is responsible for media, web and social media communications, and education. He is also a senior advisor for partnerships. His expertise includes developing domestic and international partnerships, translating science for decision makers, and program design. He is particularly interested in how public-private partnerships can be combined with effective engagement strategies to bring innovative approaches to understanding our global ocean in all of its dimensions.
