Michael Bricker is a production design and filmmaker who is currently designing the first season of Megan Abbott's DARE ME for USA/UCP. Recently, Michael also designed the first season of RUSSIAN DOLL, produced by Amy Poehler, Leslye Headland, and Natasha Lyonne, HBO's O.G. starring Jeffrey Wright, and Netflix's stand-up comedy series, THE DEGENERATES. Michael began his film work in Austin, collaborating with Andrew Bujalski for both RESULTS and COMPUTER CHESS, and with Robbie Pickering for NATURAL SELECTION, winner of the 2011 SXSW Grand Jury Prize. Michael is the Founder of PEOPLE FOR URBAN PROGRESS (PUP), an Indianapolis non-profit and urban design do-tank. This work has been featured in Dwell, The Huffington Post, and CityLab. Michael has presented PUP's story at DesignBoom in New York, Brightworks Innovation Day in Toronto, and Creative Mornings in Indianapolis. In the fall of 2019, PUP will have a featured installation as part of Exhibit Columbus. Michael earned his Master in Architecture from the University of Texas at Austin. He splits his time between Indianapolis and Los Angeles.
