Chris Harris is a senior program officer in Entrepreneurship for the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation, where he manages the Expanding Quality Support for Entrepreneurs grant, which seeks to expand the most effective and scalable entrepreneurial support models across the United States. Prior to joining the Kauffman Foundation, Harris was a program director for the Kansas Department of Commerce, where he developed and managed programs to address nonprofit capital campaigns, early-stage equity funding for startups, and rural out-migration issues. He also was involved with legislative strategy and testimony.
Harris earned a Master of Business Administration from Fort Hays State University and a Bachelor of Arts in history from the University of Kansas.
