Dr. Shane Tilton

Bio: Dr. Shane Tilton is an Assistant Professor of Multimedia Journalism at the Ohio Northern University. He was named the 2018 Young Stationers’ Prize winner from the Young Stationers & the 2015 Outstanding New Adviser from the Society for Collegiate Journalists for his work in journalism and communication education. He has published research and provided media commentary on the topics of the digital divide, new media, and the influence that gaming has on pedagogy. His work on social media and its connection to university life earned him the 2013 Harwood Dissertation award from the Broadcast Education Association.
