Lauren Tracy
Lauren is Co-founder and Head of Product at Blue Fever: A private messaging platform that acts as a “big sister” to young women – curating the internet safely, based on their emotions. Blue Fever is backed by the prestigious startup accelerator Techstars. Prior to Blue Fever, Lauren co-founded the distribution company X-Factor Films that sold short movies and shows starring women to Fullscreen, Sundance Now and AMC. She was responsible for UX and UI of the company's website. Before that, she was a film director and editor for films/series, ads and music videos. After becoming aware of the lack of women in media while attending film school, Lauren founded an organization that brought financial awards to female filmmakers (collaborators included NYU, Avid and Oscar-winning director Kathryn Bigelow: THE HURT LOCKER, ZERO DARK THIRTY). Lauren has produced over 20 video projects and was a finalist in Lionsgate's 2015 ‘New Voices of the Twilight Saga’ filmmaker competition. Lauren was the speaker at her university’s graduation alongside the CEO of Xerox, Ursula Burns.
