Thomas Mayes

T.J. Mayes is a public servant, educator, and community leader. He currently serves as Chief of Staff for Bexar County Judge Nelson Wolff and previously served as Chief of Staff to San Antonio Councilman Ron Nirenberg (who was subsequently elected Mayor of San Antonio). T.J. teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in law and public policy and currently holds dual appointments at the UTSA College of Public Policy and UTSA College of Liberal & Fine Arts. In 2018, he was appointed by Councilman Roberto Trevino to serve as the District 1 representative on the Port Authority of San Antonio Board of Directors.
