Have had a few distinct career chapters: Started as an academic in the social sector: PhD in International Development with 10+ years in social and public sectors globally (e.g., Indonesia, India, Bangladesh, Uzbekistan, Mauritania) working on issues of women's empowerment, gender equality, and reproductive rights. Focus: Changing social systems. Became a consultant to learn more in the private sector: McKinsey & Company Associate Principal with 5+ years in financial services – primarily Insurance (commercial and personal P&C), public finance, retail banking – and large-scale performance transformations (both lean service operations and behavioral / organizational psychology). Focus: Changing organizations. Pivoted to focus on impact in financial services: Currently a risk management executive at Capital One, leading data, analytics, and innovation for the Audit function. Have served a variety of roles at Capital One, to include Chief of Staff to the President of the Retail Bank, founder and leader of the Bank's Customer Insights and Analytics function, and business development for Card Partnerships. Proud to be the Mid-Atlantic Executive Lead for our OutFront LGBTQ+ Resource Group. Focus: Changing banking for good. Mother of (awesome) twin girls, three dogs, and four cats. Former competitive boxer and rower, current adventure race aficionado and general sports enthusiast.
