Sam Tedford
Sam Tedford is an urban planner at the City of Austin specializing in long-range planning, demographics, and the implementation of the Imagine Austin comprehensive plan. Sam enjoys using data and analysis to solve problems, elevate inequities and disparities in her community, and better understand the world around her. Sam began her work as a public servant in 2016, and she loves working with dedicated City staff and passionate community members to rise up and meet the diverse and dynamic set of challenges facing Austin today. Sam received her Bachelor’s degree in Geography from the University of Texas at Austin.
Sam is a public transit enthusiast and polyglot. She serves as a mentor to Arabic-speaking refugees at local schools and is still seeking the high of the Scholastic Book Fair in her adult life.
