Tamir Koch
Tamir Koch is a serial entrepreneur and serves at the helm of eMusic, a brand known for being the #1 source of discovery and sales for independent music and artists since 1998. As President of eMusic, Tamir has been a vocal activist and public figure focused on bringing attention to the current inequities in the music industry and has long touted a perspective that new technologies can disrupt an unbalanced music ecosystem. His most recent endeavor, the eMusic Blockchain Project, will provide a decentralized approach to music distribution and rights management and positions eMusic as the first major music service to embrace blockchain as the path to a fair, sustainable industry where musicians, music services, and fans can flourish.
Tamir has founded several successful startups. In 1995, he co-created Orca Interactive which went on to become the leader in IPTV content management and was named one of Oracles "top 50 solutions worldwide." Orca was later sold to Emblaze Systems in 2000 and then acquired by France Telecom in 2008. Dotomi, Koch's next venture, provided a single source for direct marketing solutions, including online targeting, analytics and data/media management. Dotomi was acquired by ValueClick in 2011.
