Mei Tao

Mei Tao was most recently a VC investor at Baidu ventures, where she focused on blockchain and machine learning applications in traditional industries. She previously was a growth manager at VIPKID, an edtech unicorn based in China. Prior to that, Mei was an emerging market investor at the IFC, World Bank’s private sector investing arm, where she worked on growth equity and debt investments across Subsaharan Africa, Latin America, Middle East and Asia. Mei started her career in Investment Banking where she advised technology companies on IPOs and mergers & acquisitions. Mei holds a B.S in Statistics and B.A in Business from UC Berkeley, and she is currently pursuing MBA at Harvard Business School.
