Ritchie Huang

Ritchie Huang is a member of the Daimler Automated Truck R&D Center where he leads all of the government affairs activities and safety strategy for Daimler Trucks North America. His primary focus is on safety and crash reduction as it intersects with legislation, regulation, and policy for advanced safety systems and automated driving technology. Ritchie is based out of Washington, D.C. and serves as the primary interface for the U.S. federal, state, and municipal governments along with Canada and its provinces.

Ritchie joined Daimler in January 2017 after serving in the USDOT for the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) where his area of expertise was in crash avoidance systems and automated vehicle safety. Prior to his time in the government sector, he worked as an active safety engineer for Honda Research & Development as well as in the consumer electronics industry for Sony Electronics.
