Jade Lenore LeDuff is known to be a young emerging leader in the LGBTQI+ community. She is public educator, advocate and humanist, an active member, volunteer, and Leader for Black Transwomen Inc., A Black Trans Lead organization in the forefront of the fight for equality and social justice for all through collaboration, awareness, education and advocacy. Providing training to organizations both local and national, Jade has devoted tireless amounts of time to ensure the equity and proper treatment of Trans Folx. As a Black woman of Trans experience she has encountered several setbacks, obstacles, discrimination, and adversity simply to live life fully and authentically. Jade has been recognized for her contributions to the advancement of black transgender equality, receiving a 2016 Black Trans Advocacy - Rising Star Award, in addition Jade was the Recipient of the 2018 Black Trans Advocacy - Black Trans Woman Inc. Woman of the Year. Jade has also been awarded by the Dallas LGBT community as being a young leader of the year in 2014 and nominated again in 2015. Jade was nominated as a 2016 and 2017, Woman of Distinction at her Employer as well as being awarded a prestigious Community Service award for her continuations to the betterment of our community. In addition Jade was the Recipient of the 2018 Black Trans Advocacy – Black Trans Woman Inc. Woman of the Year. Jade is currently working with Resource Center coordinating a Transgender and Gender Non-Conforming Program for young adults. A member of the TransForward Research Engagement Advisory Council, a National Trans Visibility March Ambassador for 2018-2019. Jade also is currently working on writing and documenting her experiences in the midst of her journey and prior, in hopes that it will touch the lives of others to be more understanding and educated about people of trans experience.
