Joe Pompeo

Joe Pompeo is the media correspondent at Vanity Fair, where he writes weekly for the publication's digital-first news brand, The Hive, as well as contributing features to the print magazine. He was previously a reporter at Politico, where he created the influential daily newsletter Morning Media. Pompeo was part of the team that launched the news website Capital New York, where he was the publication's media reporter after covering the same beat for Yahoo News and Business Insider. Before that, he was a reporter and editor at The New York Observer, after spending several years working at small community newspapers in New Jersey. He has a master's degree from Columbia's Graduate School of Journalism and a bachelor's degree from Rutgers.
