Emily Doskow
Emily Doskow has been practicing family law in the Bay Area since 1989. She specializes in family matters including adoptions, surrogacy agreements, prenuptial agreements, and mediated and collaborative divorce. She is the author or co-author of numerous books published by Nolo and is a frequent speaker on LGBTI family issues and mindfulness for lawyers. Emily is a member of the Board of Directors of Women Lawyers of Alameda County and co-chair of the Board of the National Center for Lesbian Rights.
Emily has been practicing mindfulness meditation for more than 20 years. She has completed Warrior One’s Mindfulness in Law Teacher Training and is currently a student in Spirit Rock’s Dedicated Practitioner Program. Emily is the founder and lead teacher at Mindfulness Over Matters.
Emily has taught mindfulness to law students at law schools, bar associations, non-profits, and a wide variety of other legal organizations.
