Hannah Lux Davis
Hannah Lux Davis is an award-winning American filmmaker best known for her acute attention to detail, striking imagery, and iconic vision. The industry’s top artists consistently trust Davis to helm boundary-pushing music videos that garner billions of views around the globe. With experience in design, directing, and editing, she uniquely curates every detail on her projects from start to finish, ultimately establishing herself as one of today’s most in-demand creators.
Davis hit her stride with a bang in 2013, leading the charge on a gritty, provocative music video for Lil Wayne’s “Love Me,” featuring Drake and Future. She was the first ever female director to spearhead a Lil Wayne shoot. The following year, Davis executed a modern-day Moulin Rouge concept for Jessie J, Ariana Grande, and Nicki Minaj’s “Bang Bang.” The powerhouse music video surpassed a billion views on YouTube, catapulting Davis into a reputation for making her artists look ceaselessly beautiful. She has since honed working relationships with the likes of Ariana Grande, Demi Lovato, Nicki Minaj, Hailee Steinfeld, Rita Ora, and Miley Cyrus, to name a few.
In the midst of her popular glamour-driven music videos, Davis began experimenting with deeper, less stylized approaches. Her murky music video for Machine Gun Kelly and Camila Cabello’s “Bad Things” showcased the downfall of a rebellious couple. For Jason Derulo’s “If I’m Lucky,” she delved into an explosive drama steered by passion and crime. In her most demanding endeavor to date, Davis helmed Demi Lovato’s “Simply Complicated,” an official documentary for YouTube Originals that generated over 14 million views across 195 countries. The 2017 film was hailed for its unwavering authenticity while portraying mature topics of substance abuse and eating disorders. More recently, Davis broke multiple records with the 2018 viral music video for Ariana Grande’s “Thank U Next” – including quickest video to hit 100 million
