Marie Sylla-Dixon
Marie Sylla-Dixon is Vice President of Federal Government and External Affairs for T-Mobile USA. Marie represents the company before Members of the United States Congress and helps to direct the legislative strategy for both the House and Senate on a myriad of issues such as spectrum, competition policy, infrastructure, internet and broadband regulation, privacy and consumer protection. Marie also manages the company’s relationships with strategic third-party organizations, including those representing various consumer interests with a focus on broadband deployment and adoption issues.
Marie started her wireless industry career as Corporate Counsel with T-Mobile. Her experience includes serving as Vice President for Government Relations for Verizon Communications where she played a leading role on telecommunications and video policy matters.
Prior to her career in the telecommunications industry Marie was Director of Government Relations and Counsel for the Interactive Entertainment Merchants Association (IEMA) where she served as spokesperson for the video gaming industry making appearances on Fox News Channel, NPR and other news outlets.
Marie started her policy career as a legislative assistant to a Member of the U.S. House of Representatives. She was recently appointed By Chairman Pai to serve on the Federal Communications Commission Advisory Committee on Diversity and Digital Empowerment. She is a founding board member of the Global Women’s Innovation Network. She serves on the National Urban League’s Policy Council and was a member of the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation Advisory Board. She was also formally Chairwoman of the National Trust for the National Mall Corporate Committee. Marie also serves on the board of City Year Washington, DC.
