Alexander De Croo
Alexander De Croo, Minister of Finance and Development Cooperation, is responsible for the Digital Agenda and International Development. His main priorities are promoting digital skills to make sure all benefit from the digital transformation and supporting the digital transformation of classic economic sectors. In his development policy, fostering inclusive and sustainable growth and promoting women’s rights are the central pillars. In 2016, he co-launched She Decides, a global movement to promote & protect every female’s fundamental right to family planning, a response to the American Global Gag Rule. Recently, De Croo published The Age of Women, a case for more gender equality. Prior to politics, De Croo was a strategy consultant at The Boston Consulting Group. In 2006, he founded his own company, Darts-IP, a consulting firm in the field of intellectual property rights, which now operates throughout the world.
