Resonant Interactions

Monica Bolles, founder of Resonant Interactions, embarked on her journey with spatial audio in 2011, delving into the intricacies of immersive sound through her local planetarium's 15.1 channel surround system. Over the years, she has honed her expertise, developing comprehensive toolsets within Max MSP to craft expansive, textured soundscapes that delve into the realms of space, movement, and interaction.

Dually proficient as a technician and an artist, Monica collaborates with fellow artists and composers, assisting them in translating their creations into dynamic spatial environments. Concurrently, she passionately produces her own works, which have garnered recognition through exhibitions on large-scale multichannel speaker arrays, ranging from 8 to an impressive 140 channels.

Currently, Monica Bolles serves as the co-host of the Immersive Audio Podcast and co-host of the Spatial Audio Meetups facilitated by NOTAM. As an esteemed figure in her field, she conducts workshops, sharing her insights and techniques with eager learners. Her expertise has been showcased at renowned events including IRCAM Forums (2020), SXSW (2019), Ableton Loop (2018), IMERSA Summit (2013-2019), and NIME (2017-2018), among others.
