Julie Irwin
Dr. Irwin’ field is behavioral economics, a combination of psychology and economics to help understand market behavior. Before joining the McCombs School, Dr. Irwin was a visiting professor at the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a tenure-track faculty member at the Stern School at New York University. She received her PhD in cognitive psychology from the University of Colorado and post-doctoral training at the University of Illinois. Dr. Irwin has published over 40 refereed journal articles and book chapters and has served as a Principle Investigator on two National Science Foundation grants. She also often writes for and is quoted in popular press outlets such as Harvard Business Review, The New York Times, and The Hidden Brain and she runs the University of Texas Ethics and Corporate Social Responsibility Speaker Series.
