Marcus Byrd
Marcus Byrd is the Director of Marketing for Dos Toros Taqueria, a fast-casual Mexican concept with locations throughout New York and Chicago. Marcus joined the Dos Toros management team in 2015 and he leads the company’s press relations, development of in-store, digital and social content strategies, brand partnerships, and corporate social responsibility initiatives. He also holds responsibility for executing strategies that ensure the successful launch of new restaurants as the company’s footprint grows. Prior to Dos Toros, he worked in Marketing Innovation for the National Basketball Association. Marcus is a graduate of Georgetown University where he holds degrees in Government and Economics. Originally from Oakland, California. In 2018 Marcus also became the Communications Chair for the Action Board for Getting Out and Staying Out. GOSO is a Harlem based non-profit aimed at helping young men avoid recidivism in the criminal justice system by reshaping their futures through educational achievement and meaningful employment.
