Lawrence G. Walters

Free Speech attorney and anti-censorship advocate. Lawrence Walters heads up Walters Law Group based in Central Florida, and maintains a nationwide practice focusing on First Amendment and Internet law. He has been involved in numerous precedent-setting cases, including 3 U.S. Supreme Court decisions on First Amendment issues. Larry has over 30 years’ experience representing a wide variety of individuals, companies, and non-profit groups advocating for free speech and expression. He has created and directed numerous non-profit entities and currently serves as General Counsel for the Woodhull Freedom Foundation, which is based in Washington DC, and advocates for sexual freedom as a fundamental human right. He is also the past President and National Chairman of the First Amendment Lawyers Association. Mr. Walters graduated from the University of Central Florida, magna cum laude, and currently serves on its Legal Studies Advisory Council. He earned his J.D., with honors, from Florida State University, College of Law, after interning with a federal judge and obtaining a fellowship in its Policy Studies Clinic. Mr. Walters has received a 10.0 (Superb) rating from avvo.com, and an "AV" (Preeminent) rating from lawyers.com. In addition to his law practice, Larry is a patent holder, and develops mobile applications for legal compliance purposes. He is a frequent public speaker and a widely published author.
