Lonny Olinick
Olinick runs Kobalt’s recording division, AWAL. AWAL’s roster ranges from new, breaking artists to global successes, including Lauv, R3HAB, Tom Misch, Bruno Major, deadmau5, The Wombats, VÉRITÉ, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Yung Lean, and more.
Previously as Kobalt’s Chief Strategy Officer, Olinick was responsible for strategy and business development, as well as executive oversight for AWAL. Over the past year, Olinick was actively involved in Kobalt’s $89M fundraise and helped position AWAL as the destination for independent artists to develop and monetize in the streaming economy, while retaining ownership and creative control of their career. This unique position has led to rapid growth for AWAL, billions of streams and the support of the best independent music talent.
Prior to joining Kobalt, he held positions at RCA, Sony BMG and Bain & Company, in addition to running his own artist management company. He holds an MBA from Stanford.
