Within her role as Marketing Communications Strategist at Ottobock North America, Melissa Langley has helped develop the company's social media presence, brand ambassador program, and content creation team. For 100 years, Ottobock has done its best as a medical device manufacturer to be inclusive, championing those using its products to improve their quality of life. But among mainstream brands, Melissa and her team witnessed a lack of representation of the engaging and exciting micro-niche communities forming around disability across social media. With the publicity generated around Tommy Hilfiger's Adaptive Clothing campaign, Ottobock saw a unique opportunity to celebrate a brand aiming for inclusion, right where the worlds of medical device and fashion collide.
