Renee Chapman Navarro

J. Renee Chapman Navarro, PharmD, MD, is a Professor of Anesthesia and Perioperative Care. She was appointed as the UC, San Francisco’s first Vice Chancellor of Diversity and Outreach, December 2010. Dr. Navarro lead the development and is charged with implementation of a strategic plan (Roadmap to Inclusive Excellence) for diversity, equity and inclusion that includes pipeline development, inclusive recruitment practices, facilitating a climate of inclusion and providing opportunities for development and advancement for all campus members while assuring the university is free from harassment or discrimination. After the completion of her Pharm D education and training at the University of the Pacific, she attended medical school and residency at University of California, San Francisco.
