Matt grew up being exposed to the video game industry. His father was the COO of Point of View Inc. and was able to see the inner workings of the industry.
For nearly 20 years Matt competed in traditional sports and into college. Competition and sports has always been very meaningful to him. While playing sports he was playing video games in his free time casually.
During graduate school Matt began working as a Co-Commissioner and Men’s Liaison at the Southern California Collegiate Volleyball League. While serving in this role Matt was a therapist providing counseling.
While working as a therapist he wanted to branch out and help more people. Blending his skill set as a therapist, co-commissioner, athlete, and a lover of video games he was looking for a position in esports for a few years. Eventually, he found CLG where he is able to help guide the esports initiatives at CLG and impact the development of the staff and players in the esports department.
