Nikki Lane
Nikki Lane is an American country music singer-songwriter. Born in Greenville, South Carolina, Lane dropped out of high school and moved to Los Angeles to work as a fashion designer. After later moving to New York City, a messy break up inspired her to pick up the acoustic guitar and start writing country music songs inspired by Loretta Lynn and Merle Haggard. What began as a sort of self-therapy developed into a passion, and Lane wound up leaving town again, this time returning back to the South and settling in Nashville. Having relocated to the country music capital of the world, Lane began building a local audience by putting her own spin on the genre. Since releasing her first album, “Walk of Shame,” on Iamsound Records in 2011, Lane has written and produced two additional albums, “All or Nothin’,” released in 2014, and “Highway Queen,” released in 2017.
