Miranda George
Dr. Miranda George is an active writer and lecturer on the topic of performance anxiety in musicians. She has received invitations to speak in public schools, university schools of music, and in music education conferences. In addition to over 50 articles that she has written on performance anxiety, Dr. George has been published by Classical Music Indy, Smart Music and Instrumentalist Magazine.
Her personal experiences with performance anxiety, and the openness with which she discusses the role that shame and various mental health issues have played in her struggle, connects her to her audience in a way that few writers on the topic do.
In addition to her 27 years as a performing musician, and 18 years as a teacher of trumpet and voice, Dr. George served five years on the music faculty of the University of Texas at Arlington. She now utilizes her performance confidence knowledge in the financial industry as an instructional designer and LMS Coordinator for PHP Agency Inc.
