LaTorie Wallace
LaTorie “Torie” Wallace is a mom, educator, chef, holistic nutritionist, cultivator, and cannabis advocate for the socially and economically disadvantaged. Born in Washington D.C., and being the last child of 17, Torie comes from a household where the cannabis plant was no hidden secret from her, but a way that some family members self-medicated due to PTSD. She has been making infused products since 1998, but in the past four years has launched a career in advocacy and education, culminating in the creation of We BAKED, which stands for We Bring Awareness & Knowledge Educating Demographics. We BAKED is a pending 501(c)(3) that educates the public about cannabis (medicinally, socially and economically), often through food. Torie has worked alongside WFWP, Magical Butter, Tony Lewis Jr., and Women Grow, and she has lobbied with MCBA and NORML. She has been mentored by Wanda L. James and interned at National Holistic Healing Center, which is the only black-owned dispensary in D.C.
