Award-winning photographer Matt Black has spent the last four years traveling over 100,000 miles in 46 states to document what poverty looks like across the nation. The result — an ever-amassing collection of black and white images — paint a portrait of modern America unlike any other. His work has appeared in the New Yorker, the California Sunday Magazine, and he is an associate member of Magnum photos.
