Ikechi Nwabuisi
Ikechi is a Nigerian American entrepreneur born in America’s most diverse city, Houston, TX. His environment helped to shape the strongest skill Ikechi has, empathy, which is the number one tool he utilizes in entrepreneurship to tackle the problems he sees in the world. After completing his undergraduate and Master’s from Northwestern University while serving as Captain of the football team, Ikechi began his professional career in wealth management with Merrill Lynch as the youngest employee in the office. What Ikechi learned about the financial market and how people viewed it led him to a problem he simply couldn’t crack. The simple concepts of “buy low, sell high” and “it takes money to make money” paint a dark picture for communities of color. So Ikechi set out to make an impact by tackling this problem utilizing software.
