Reginald "Regi" Young is a human-centered designer and food banker that has been working in the non-profit sector since 2007. Mr. Young started off as a community organizer working to bring technology and economic resources to underserved communities throughout the Houston area. He began working with Houston Food Bank (HFB) in 2010 as a member of Feeding America’s first cohort of Child Hunger Corps members. Mr. Young later joined HFB’s staff as an Agency Services Representative where he worked with over 160 hunger relief organizations to distribute food to families in need. Today, Mr. Young is the Director of Food for Change at HFB and helps to establish relationships with non-traditional food bank partners such as colleges and healthcare institutions, to connect food resources to programs that help to address the fundamental causes and consequences of food insecurity. Regi is a graduate of Millsaps College in Jackson, MS where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, as well as the University of Houston-Clear Lake where he received a Master of Arts in Cross-Cultural Studies.
