Christine Hoang
In 2015, Christine founded Austin's artistic nonprofit Color Arc Productions with a mission to shine light on diverse stories through theatre, film, and music. She is an award-winning Vietnamese American playwright, screenwriter, producer, and performer. She is also a full-time attorney, wife, and mother. In December 2017, her original play PEOPLE OF COLOR CHRISTMAS became the first play to tour all four of the City of Austin's Cultural Centers (Asian American Cultural Center, Mexican American Cultural Center, Dougherty Arts Center, George Washington Carver Center). In 2017, Christine's original play A GIRL NAMED SUE won the Austin Critics Table Award for Best New Play. She is currently developing her first feature screenplay FLY GIRL and her first musical ROMEO & KATRINA, which is a new American musical set in post-Katrina New Orleans.
