Ashwini Anburajan

Ashwini Anburajan is an entrepreneur, innovator and strategist who has built and launched companies and products focused on data, marketing and blockchain. Most recently she was the founding partner of 22X Fund, the first tokenized venture capital fund started by startup founders to democratize access to capital which has been featured in INC, AXIOS, Entrepreneur, Breaker Magazine and other leading publications. As an entrepreneur (Social Data Collective d.b.a OpenUp / 500 Startups Batch 22) she built and sold data-driven products to Hearst, A&E, Gannett, and other leading media companies. Prior to that she was at BuzzFeed where she lead a data network that she grew to track the reading habits of over 500MM people and close deals with over 200 media companies, ad agencies and brands. Her work on 22X Fund was recognized by Microsoft who awarded her for “innovation in venture capital fundraising” and by TED where she was a Spring 2018 Resident. In Spring 2019 she will be speaking at SXSW on two panels focused on the use of blockchain and cryptocurrencies to tokenize assets and raise capital. Ashwini is a trusted advisor to startups and serves on the advisory boards of Mars Reel, Swayable, and YCrib where she has helped with content marketing, lead generation, social media strategy and sales.
