Jenn Renoe was diagnosed with acute rapid cycling bi-polar disorder in 2007, and she and her psychiatrist were able to back date his illness to elementary school. In 2017 she was diagnosed with Gender Dysphoria. They're both conditions she'd lived with and managed for a lifetime, and until recently, were things she kept closely hidden. Since being inspired to open up about her own experiences, she's become an advocate for ending the stigma surrounding mental illness and helping others find comfort in their natural selves. It's why she started the Our Fractured Minds podcast to redefine what it means to live with mental illness, to give a voice to those who suffer, and to help those who listen that they're never alone.
As host of the show she's interviewed guests with with a range of illnesses including clinical depression, PTSD, bi-polar disorder, depression with psychotic episodes, alcoholism, anxiety, attempted suicide, uselessness, worthlessness, and gender dysphoria. The show has also touched on topics related to misdiagnoses, hiding in your own skin, ending the stigma around suffering, ending the stigma around seeing a doctor, and more.
