Alison Killing
I am an architect and digital documentary maker. I use maps and data to investigate and tell stories, then share these techniques with others through talks and workshops. In Migration Trail, this meant telling stories of migrants travelling to Europe in real time, using maps, data and social media; or finding playful, light ways to open up discussion about death and architecture with the Death in Venice exhibition. Current projects include the Citizen Investigation Toolkit, a guide to maps and open source investigations, together with Tactical Tech; a lecture and workshop series on architecture and journalism at the New Institute, Rotterdam.
