I set up StoryFX – a creative consultancy which brings stories to life with technology, after almost 30 years experience at the BBC, producing unique digital projects across Web, TV and Radio, leading small teams within BBC Sport, BBC Technology, BBC News, BBC Knowledge & Learning and in partnership with companies in the creative industries.
I delivered creative content that launched on bbc.co.uk and at live outside broadcasts, to give the audience a brand new digital experience.
I also produced a powerful WW1 Virtual Reality (VR) experience designed for the Oculus Rift back in 2014, which puts the user in a trench on the 1st day of the Battle of the Somme in 1916, for BBC NI.
With StoryFX, I focused on Virtual & Augmented Reality and immersive storytelling and partnered with key industry expertise to exploit the latest technology to produce stunning visuals.
My latest role with Digital Catapult as Immersive Lab Lead means that I am engaging with a wide range of companies, industry stakeholders and individuals to highlight the potential of Immersive Technology in driving innovative business opportunities in Northern Ireland, by showcasing the cutting edge technology available at the Digital Catapult Immersive Lab in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
