Mandy Mandelstein

Mandy Mandelstein is a experience designer, creative director, Emmy Award winning filmmaker, and artist. As an Experience Design Lead at Gensler, she combines her background in storytelling with a human centered design approach to create innovative experiences for the built environment– from retail to arenas and airports to business innovation spaces and academic institutions.

She started her career designing for a very specific interface –the cinema screen—but as screens changed sizes and started showing up in more places, she began exploring new ways that story could live in the world. These explorations led her to work on projects with brands, agencies, production companies, and artists that span mediums from commercials and documentaries to AR/VR/XR and large-scale interactive installations. She’s led award-wining work for a broad range of clients that include Dell, Headspace, TikTok, Deloitte, Walmart, IBM,NASA/The Smithsonian, Minneapolis Institute of Art/3M.
